About me
I am married and have lived in Thelwall for over 40 years. I have been a teacher for more than 40 years, originally teaching History and RE in a local High School, I have however spent the majority of my career working with children who have SEN. In 2014 I joined the Governing Board of Thelwall Infant School. I strongly believe that all children should get the opportunity to receive an education that focuses not only on academic subjects, but one that provides a nurturing environment where they can thrive and develop their individual personalities in a safe environment. I know from experience that Thelwall Infant School provides just such an education and I want to help maintain this for the future.

About me
I currently have a daughter in Reception and, like all parents, her happiness, health and wellbeing are incredibly important to me. Seeing the wonderful start she has had at Thelwall Infants confirmed it was the right choice for our family.
Alongside over 25 years’ management experience in the property sector, I now work in education. I’m a qualified Teaching Scholar and EBSA Practitioner, supporting students through SEND and SALT interventions at a secondary school, with a focus on safeguarding and wellbeing.
I am proud to support the school and its community as a Parent Governor.

As a Governor I hope to contribute my professional experience, educational knowledge, and local understanding to support the school’s continued growth and excellence.
As a resident with knowledge of the local area, I understand the importance of the school’s role within our community and the need to maintain strong links between families, staff, and local organisations.
