Maintenance Officer
Grade 5 £25,992 - £28624 pro rata
Thelwall Infant School Governing Board wish to appoint a Site Maintenance Officer to join our hardworking, friendly and committed team. We are looking for a hard-working, cheerful person who will be proud to maintain our school and grounds to a very high standard of cleanliness and safety. The candidate should possess good communication and organisational skills, and be able to work as part of a team. They should have a good knowledge of health and safety, be proactive and have good eye for detail.
The successful candidate will need a range of skills to ensure the efficient maintenance of our site and be willing to develop an in depth understanding of health and safety standards and procedures. A knowledge of basic DIY is essential.
About the Role
Thelwall Infants is a 1.5 form entry school with a nursery and approximately 140 children on roll.
The role is a permanent 25 hours per week role, Monday – Friday 1.15-6.15pm, all year round.
Annual leave is to be taken during school closure periods. However, during school holidays, working hours can be more flexible following discussion with the Headteacher. Additional unpaid leave during school holidays can be negotiated.
Briefly, the role will include closing the school premises each day, maintaining health and safety standards, checks and records, carrying out repairs and routine maintenance, cleaning duties, decorating, liaising with contractors, and ordering supplies.
